BUBBLES
One of my clients paints. Her hands wobble, and she is in a wheelchair, but she doesn’t give up.
Her husband died of kidney failure, whom she loved and married since she was 16. Her daughter, was losing her eyesight because of an autoimmune disorder.
Not long ago, her husband died. She slipped and fell in her tiny apartment.
She ended up in a wheelchair, but tried to paint almost every day.
That day, I asked her, How do you have the hope and willingness to go to church every Sunday?
She said, “It could be worse.”
That day, I came home and painted this remembering her words of hope.
She said, “If you don’t like what you have painted, color it black and make bubbles.”
All these bubbles remind me of another story of resilience and hope.
